Tax Payments

Property taxes are payable quarterly on August 1st, November 1st, February 1st and May 1st.  If the due date falls on a Saturday or Sunday, taxes are due on the Monday following the weekend.

Online Tax Payments:

The Town of Marblehead is pleased to enable taxpayers to pay their Property Taxes as well as Vehicle & Boat Excise Tax Bills online!

To use the site for the first time, you will be asked to create a new account, where you will enter an e-mail address and password.  After you've created an account, you can log on and view or pay your taxes. You will need your most recent bill number.  If you do not have the bill number available, please contact the Tax Collector's office at (781) 631-0587 and they will provide you with your bill number.

Taxpayers using this online payment feature can be assured that their bank account information and the payments are encrypted and securely processed.*

If you experience difficulties paying your tax bill online, please call Metropolitan Communications LLC at (508) 460-6000 and they will assist you.

Tax Payment By Mail:

Taxpayers wishing to pay by regular check can certainly continue to do so.  Checks should be made payable to the Town of Marblehead and mailed to:

Tax payments can also be made at the Tax Collector's office at the Mary Alley Municipal Building, 7 Widger Road or by dropping the payment in the red Town Business boxes located outside of Abbot Hall and the Mary Alley Municipal Building.

The online payment processing is provided by an outside company, Metropolitan Communications, LLC.  This company is separate and apart from the Town of Marblehead.  Please Note: No additional charges or fees will be assessed by MCC to use this payment method.
