Staffed In Season 7:00 am - 4:00 pm, weather dependent.


Resident Parking:  Residents with a current Resident Facility Sticker will be able to park in the Resident  Lot.  The parking lot closes at 10:00 pm.

Non-Residents and Residents Without a Resident Facility Sticker Parking:  Parking will be available in the main Lot at Devereux and the Riverhead Lot.  Fees are cash only and non-refundable.

  • Monday — Thursday: $15.00
  • Friday — Sunday: $20.00

Public Restrooms:  Open  (in-season and weather dependent), typically from 7:00 am - 7:00 pm.  


Accessibility: Handicapped parking is available.  An access mat is installed at the beach to accommodate walkers, wheelchairs, and strollers.  Additionally, a beach wheelchair is available for use from the parking attendant's station.


Lifeguards: There are NO Lifeguards at Devereux Beach.  Swim at your own risk.  View the Marblehead Tide Charts.


Group or Camp Visits:  All groups affiliated with a camp, school, organization, or other paid program MUST obtain a permit from Marblehead Recreation & Parks for the safety of all participants. Permits for camp, school, organization or paid program groups to visit and access Devereux Beach can be requested here via the Special Request Permit FormNo buses will be allowed on the premises without a permit. 


Beach Closures and Water Quality: The beach and parking area may be closed at any time for public safety reasons.  For information regarding closures or swim water quality, please check the Board of Health website or call (781) 631-0212 for details.


Trash: Please place all trash in the barrels provided.  Barrels are emptied throughout the day when staff is on duty.  Please help keep your beach clean by properly disposing of trash!

Per the Town By-Laws:  No pets, bonfires, glass, or alcohol allowed.
