Permits & Reports

Alarm By-Law Permit:

To apply for a Alarm By-Law Permit please print and complete application which then must be submitted to the Marblehead Police Department.

Firearms Licensing Division:

  • Firearms Identification (FID) Card:  Requirements to obtain a FID are contained in a Firearms Information Packet available at the Police Station.  Fee: $100.00.
  • License to Carry (LTC) Permit:  Requirements to obtain a LTC are contained in a Firearms Information Packet available at the Police Station.  Fee: $100.00.

Motor Vehicle Crash Operator Report:

You should file a Motor Vehicle Crash Operator Report if you're the operator of a vehicle involved in a crash where the damage to any one vehicle or property is over $1000, or if there is an injury to any person, even if a police officer was on the scene.  You should file the report within 5 days of the date of the crash.

Property Loss Report:

Stolen or lost property should be reported to the police using a Property Loss Report Form.

Solicitor/Canvasser Certificate:

Chapter 153 of the Town of Marblehead By-laws establishes the regulations that must be followed when soliciting or canvassing in Marblehead.  Solicitors and canvassers are required to register with the police by submitting a Solicitor & Canvasser Registration Form.  Fee: $25.00.
