Grace Oliver's Beach Seawall Project to Begin on 10/11/18

The Grace Oliver’s Beach Seawall Project being performed to repair storm damage from earlier this year is scheduled to begin. The work will involve removing and resetting stone wall and reinforcing with steel dowels and concrete. In addition to the work itself, activity will include truck traffic and storage of materials. The beach will be inaccessible during working hours. Contractor T. Ford, of Georgetown, MA, will be performing the work.

WORK IS ANTICPATED TO BEGIN ON OCTOBER 11, 2018. The work itself is expected to take less than the 30 day contract duration; however tides and weather will impact the schedule so we have planned on a three week window for completion.

EXPECTED WORK TIMES:  7 am to 4 pm Monday through Friday.

WORK ZONE:  Beacon Street and Grace Oliver Beach.

TRAFFIC AND PARKING RESTRICTIONS: Beacon Street will remain open for the duration of the project.
