Join us to hear Professor Daniel Breen discuss the fascinating history of New England during Prohibition. From the border towns of Vermont to the near-limitless Speakeasies of Hartford to the rum-runners anchored off the coast of Essex County, New England saw all aspects of Prohibition and its problems. This presentation will shed light on the question of why that "great experiment" only lasted thirteen years before it finally came to an end. Cost is $15 for future members, $10 for Museum members.
