The Mugford Street Players announce an all-new production of OUR TOWN, Thornton Wilder’s Pulitzer Prize-winning play, coming to Marblehead Little Theatre, with a gala opening night performance on March 2nd.  The show, produced by The Mugford Street Players, will play for three weeks, Fridays through Sundays until March 18th.  Tickets are available at www.mltlive.com and Arnould Gallery in Marblehead.

OUR TOWN shatters theatre conventions, sharing its timeless story – of living, loving, and dying – with directness and intimacy that other plays rarely achieve.  Presented in an empty theatre, the audience is constantly reminded that they are witnessing a play by their guide for the evening, the Stage Manager, played in this production by Salem’s Brian Casey.  But magically, the stories of OUR TOWN, the denizens of Grover’s Corners, New Hampshire, become as tangible and real as life itself.  Theatrical legend Edward Albee once described OUR TOWN as “the finest play ever written by an American.” Marblehead’s John Fogle directs this production.
