Public Health Services

Responsibilities Include:

Administers immunizations by appointment in accordance with MDPH guidelines
Conducts communicable disease investigation & surveillance
Enforces smoking, tattoo & body art regulations
Head lice checks by request from parents
Housing inspections at tenant's request
Lead paint inspection for rental property only
Medication disposal, proper sharps disposal & mercury recovery programs
Offers health education, information & referrals
Participates in emergency planning & bio-terrorism preparedness
Performs inspection of food establishments and camps
Plans, organizes & operates immunization clinics (i.e. flu)
Provides blood pressure screenings by appointment
