Disabled Identification Registry

Disabled residents are urged to register for special assistance in event of an emergency.

The Marblehead Disabilities Commission, in a cooperative effort with the Marblehead Fire Department and the Emergency Management Director, urges residents with disabilities who would require special assistance in the event of an emergency to provide their information to the Disabled Identification Registry.

Residents with a disability and who would require special assistance should contact Laurie Blaisdell at (781) 631-0142 or by e-mail.  The registry information can also be mailed to: Marblehead Fire Department, One Ocean Avenue, Marblehead, MA 01945, Attention: Laurie Blaisdell.

Information should include name, address, area in the residence where the disabled individual sleeps, any special equipment or apparatus that their disability requires and the telephone number of their emergency contact outside of their home (health care provider, children or anyone familiar with their medical history).

The information provided will be input into the Dispatch System so that in the event of an emergency the first responders will have this information made available to them.

Residents who sign up for the Disabled Identification Registry are requested to inform the Fire Department of any changes in their disability or living arrangements as they occur.
