What We Do:
The Marblehead Municipal Light Department (MMLD) provides the Town of Marblehead with safe and reliable electric service at competitive rates from a changing portfolio of power sources design to reduce carbon emissions. The Department was established by a vote of Town Meeting on March 15, 1894 and the construction of the original Light Plant was completed in 1895.
