The Parks Department is responsible for the landscaping and maintenance of all Town Recreation and Parks properties, and assists with other properties, including:

• Cemetery Department grounds
• School Department grounds
• Public landings  
• Conservation Commission lands 
• Public buildings and grounds under the jurisdiction of the Board of Selectmen.

The department also maintains athletic fields and is responsible for field preparation, and assists with the preparations for special events.
