Collection, transportation, processing and disposal of solid waste, recycled materials and yard waste. Hazardous household waste is collected by the Health Department during an annual Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day.
Volunteer Opportunities
Residents may volunteer to serve on the Marblehead Recycling Committee, which is appointed by the Board of Health. The committee promotes recycling through articles in local media.
The
Swap Shed
is another place that volunteers can help. Volunteers are also needed to sell Facility Stickers and to check cars for up-to-date stickers as they enter the Transfer Station. Contact the Board of Health or Health Department for additional volunteer information.
