Burial plots at Waterside and niches in the Chapel are available to any Marblehead resident taxpayer, ownership being non-transferable. A description of all the Rules and Regulations is available from the Waterside Cemetery office open from 7 AM- 3 PM.

The Chapel
The Dr. Arland A. Dirlam Chapel, a non-denominational chapel holding approximately 75 people, is located in Waterside Cemetery.

Maintenance
Lot owners are asked to remove anything of value from lots twice a year for clean-up of the cemetery. Dates are posted in the Marblehead Reporter and the Salem News. Clean-ups are usually in November and April.

Directions to Waterside Cemetery
From Salem:

• Follow Rte 114 through Salem into Marblehead.
• At second set of lights turn left onto West Shore Drive.
• Follow West Shore Drive for about 2 miles.
• The cemetery entrance will be on your left.

From Swampscott:
Follow Humphrey Street to the lights at the intersection of Tedesco, Humphrey and Maple Streets.

• Turn left onto Maple Street
• Bear right at end of road onto Rte. 114
• Turn left at the next set of lights onto West Shore Drive.
• Follow West Shore Drive for about 2 miles.
• The cemetery entrance will be on your left.

Directions to Harbor View Cemetery:

• Proceed to Waterside Cemetery.
• From Waterside Cemetery's side gate, the Harbor View Cemetery is on the opposite side of Waterside Road.
