The staff of Abbot Library strives to meet all informational needs, from review of a consumer product, research on an academic topic, a copy of the newest bestseller to information about the schedule of a Marblehead organization. The library's website
has expanded the variety and quality of services offered to patrons in a convenient format.
Originally Abbot Library offered books only to adults. Now the library offer books of interest to babies through senior citizens.

Using library computers, patrons have access to the world of electronic information, from magazine articles to research databases and the rest of the Internet.
Access to library services may be in person or delivered by phone, email and fax (781-639-0558). Free Internet access is provided as well as special information computerized databases during all library hours.
Abbot Public Library provides information on all subjects from a variety of points of view. The library values its broad book collection and librarians proficient in the use of the Internet are available to assist the public. The public library is a very basic part of our free, open society.
Abbot Public Library utilizes and needs a number of volunteers. Activities include straightening books, maintaining the bulletin boards, assisting with projects in the Children's Room and more. A portion of one staff member's job is devoted to recruiting and managing volunteers.
Friends of the Abbot Public Library
The Abbot Public Library is supported by the Friends of the Abbot Public Library. The group conducts a variety of fundraisers to benefit the library, including collecting used books which are sold to the public, selling library mints, and book bags.
