What We Do
Veterans Services' number one priority is to serve and assist the veterans of the Town of Marblehead. The Veterans Agent explains the services and benefits that are available and assists the veteran in completing applications for these services and benefits.
The Veterans Agent visits local veterans who are confined to nursing homes or hospitals and offers counseling and a helping hand to families of veterans.
The agent also assists with the organization and delivery of much-needed supplies to active military personnel stationed around the world.
In Memory Of Those Who Have Died
A memorial to those who have lost their lives in the War on Terror and Acts of Terror was dedicated on Veterans Day, November 11, 2006. It is located in Memorial Park along with memorials honoring victims of other wars.

Military Honors
All veterans are entitled to Military Honors at their burial service. The appropriate military branch will send two members to play taps and to fold and present the flag to the next-of-kin. These arrangements are made by the funeral home upon request of the family.
Prescription Discounts
Veterans may be eligible to receive low-cost prescriptions through the Veterans Administration. The Veterans Agent will assist veterans in determining their eligibility and in completing the appropriate forms.
Proper Disposal for Flags
Veterans Services also collects worn and tattered flags for appropriate disposal. A mailbox is located outside of the entrance to the Veterans Agent's office at the Mary Alley Municipal Building for collection of flags to be disposed of.
