The trash compactor at the Transfer Station will be closed for repairs on Thursday, May 8; Tuesday, May 13; Wednesday, May 14; and Thursday, May 15. Household wastes will not be accepted on these dates. All other areas of operation will be open as usual.

Marblehead is divided into seven precincts. Call the Town Clerk to find out which precinct you live in or look in the Residents Book. You can also find your precinct by entering your street address on the Secretary of State’s election page.

- Precinct 1 votes at the Old Town House (Washington Street)

- Precincts 2, 3 and 4 vote at Star of the Sea Community Center (40 Atlantic Avenue)

- Precincts 5, 6, and 7 vote at the Marblehead Community Center (10 Humphrey Street)

The Marblehead Conservation Commission will hold two Public Hearings on May 22, 2008:

8:00 p.m. - Proposed Stormwater Management and Erosion Control Regulations.

8:15 p.m. - Proposed changes to the Wetlands Protection Bylaw Regulations

Both hearings will be held in the lower level meeting room at the Mary A. Alley Municipal Building, 7 Widger Road.
